Kitchen Porter /  Kitchen Assistant

Part-time | £14.85–£17 p/h incl. tronc

We’re looking for a confident, calm, and fast Kitchen Porter / Kitchen Assistant to join our kitchen team at Ria’s.

What you’ll do

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, pot wash, and storage areas
• Wash dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently throughout service
• Support chefs with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, portioning, and labelling ingredients
• Ensure bins are emptied regularly and waste is managed correctly
• Receive and organise deliveries following stock rotation procedures (FIFO)
• Keep floors, surfaces, fridges, and equipment clean and compliant with hygiene standards
• Assist with opening and closing cleaning duties
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures at all times
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods with general operational tasks
• Maintain a positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic within the team
